Propositions 2012

Web Fest .ME 2012 Awards will be held from 21 September 2012 until 31 October 2012.

The same principle used in previous years for the competition will be used in 2012 and the competition will be split in two parts: application period and voting period.

Applying for the competition

Application period for Web Fest .ME competition for the best website / web project will begin on 21 September 2012 at 00:00 hours and will last until 15 October 23:59 hours. Applications will be handled by the following rules:

Interested parties will be able to apply for the competition at the following websites: www.webfest.me
Everyone can nominate any website / web project she or he deems is of high enough quality in over 20 different categories and for Official Jury`s Web Fest .ME Grand Prix and General Public Web Fest .ME Grand Prix.
Should the same website / web project be registered for competition more than once, only the first application will be considered valid. This will be done to allow the website / web project owner the fair chance to compete with others and not have her / his votes split on different applications of the same website / web project
One website / web project can be registered in up to three different categories
Site / project owners can choose to exclude their website / web project from the competition by emailing the organizers at exclusion@webfest.me and providing the organizer with the proof of ownership
Websites made in Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Macedonia are eligible for main competition
Websites made outside the mentioned countries are also eligible for special Web Fest .ME Expanding Award

Voting

Voting begins on 20 October 2012 at 12:00 and will last until 10 November 2012 at 23:59 hours. Voting process will be held under the following rules:

General public vote

General public will be able to vote for the best website / web project at the following websites: www.webfest.me
The winner of the General Public Web Fest .ME Grand Prix Award will be the website / web project that has the highest number of votes
Should more than one website / web project have the same number of votes all of the websites shall be declared winners

Voting of the official jury of Web Fest .ME

The official Web Fest .ME jury will vote in more than 20 categories and will also award one Official Jury`s Web Fest .ME Grand Prix Award.

Jury members

Members of the Official Web Fest .ME Jury will be, as was the case in previous years, key people of the internet business and culture from the region - designers, developers, business people, influential bloggers, and other key people who influence the development of this medium. Voting of the official jury will be conducted by the following rules:

Every single member of the jury has one vote which she or he will give to the website - web project she or he deems the best
The winner of the Official Jury`s Web Fest .ME Grand Prix will be the website / web project with the highest number of votes
Should more than one website / web project have the same number of votes all of the websites shall be declared winners

Voting for the Web Fest .ME Category Awards

Every single member of the jury will be grading several aspects of each website / web project: functionality in the selected category, design, use of innovative technologies
Every single member of the jury awards the grade from 1 to 5 for every single aspect
The winner for the best website / web project in a certain Web Fest .ME Category Award will be the website / web project with the highest number of votes
Should more than one website / web project have the same number of votes all of the websites shall be declared winners
